  1. 32 year old "Eddie" Falconi, born in Palermo, Sicily in 1890s. As kid, spearfished in bay to supplement family income. Father a fisherman, mother a baker. During cold winters, he'd search the numerous archaeological sites for treasure to sell. Many catacombs. Kept one Roman coin. Years later, after many brawls and injuries, he noted the pug-nosed coin image looked like himself.

Come WWI, he joined Italian army as an ambulance driver. Driver and corpsman. Late in war, he came home on leave only to learn his father was killed by Germans for refusing to sell them fish at huge discount. By the end of the war, he decided to immigrate with mother, brother, and 2 sisters to America. Settled in "Little Italy", New York.

Scrapping for any job, he jumped at the chance to be a boxing sparring opponent to "The Great Jewish Ghetto Wizard" Benny Leonard. It didn't take long for Eddie to sport a broken nose and cauliflower ear. And a desire to seek an easier job!

When Prohibition started, he become a bootleg driver. Delivery and enforcement of his territory. Which meant brawls, firearms, and the scars to prove it. Thru his job, he learned to navigate the alleys and backrooms of the speakeasy joints.

He looks the brute but is easy-going and charming. Laughs at insults. But if pushed...and DON'T give him the stink eye (staring without blinking). Freaks him out as reminder of the dead on the battlefield.
