Entry 15 - the final showdown on Grey Dragon Island

14 March : Enough time training; it’s time to get underway aboard the Japanese cruiser Kitakami , barely 4 years old. Fast enough to sail the 300 mile trip in almost 6 hours. Brady brings 40 recruits of his new China army under the pretense we are sailing to combat Russian insurgents. We approach Grey Dragon Island from the north observing empty beaches with the steaming volcano to the southwest. We circle the island westward looking for the Dark Mistress , found docked along a short pier on the south side. No movement; where is everyone? As we reconnoiter, it is James who queries, “You’ve got enough guns on this boat; just shell the damn island.” It’s Captain Isague who reminds all, “We have no idea what they are building nor where. We need YOU to get eyes on their construction.” With the recruits standing nearby, Norman remarks for their benefit, “Yeah, we gotta find out what those commie bastards are doing.” So the plan is set: we take a small land...

Entry 1 - Part 1: The Sanatorium (from the Mansions of Madness anthology)

Seems a Dr. Adolphus Brewer claims he's about to publish papers proclaiming hypnotic research revealing prior lives of some of his patients. Thus the Medical Board has tasked Dr. Henry Teller to verify those claims. So Henry and his younger wife Amanda contract an investigative team to join them on a sail to the northern island in the Boston harbor area. Two cases of Irish whiskey...supposed ingredient in Dr. Brewer's research. Yeah, full bottle of that will get anyone talking crazy shit! "Meet us at the docks, pier 234 at 1600 tomorrow." Perfect, just after the shift change of the cops patrolling the docks. Jerry's on the payroll and conveniently takes a break before the whiskey cases arrive. Capt. Entry 4 - NY2England: Erica Carlylye, sail to England, a deranged painter, demise of Mic, expose on Carlyle group, monster encounter

Boat tickets purchased, we have a few days left in NY; so, Eddie seeks Amanda Teller as a social contact to Ms. Carlyle, "Yes, I know Erica. May I ask why you inquire?" It's arranged for tomorrow, the 21st. Meanwhile the morning papers announce another NY cult killing which sends Rene off to the police seeking details...random...black/white/poor. Yoseph guesses, "They're gathering more bodies for zombies. Obviously, the 'Bad Ju-Ju' shop isn't the only cult center." 21 st - It's a 30 minute drive to the gated mansion...armed guards leading attack dogs as they patrol the perimeter (we later learn, upon Erica's return from her failed search for her brother, the house had been attacked by bands of colored; thus, all the protection).
